My #son is back from #Uruguay after 1 month!
He came back on Sunday. It is his first time going away for 1 month on his own, especially as far as Uruguay! He had an amazing time, and the opportunity to be himself, and to realize he could make it on his own, without the help from mom and dad. We are so very proud of him!
I have so much to say about this but I promised him I would leave him out of any type of social media, and since my diary is open, I have to honour his request here too.
I am, of course, sooooooo excited to share everything about his experience, as I am many times about huge things that happen in my sons’ lives, and my husband’s, and my friends’ and family’s, but it is not for me to share.
We were so happy to have him back! And my husband’s family, in Uruguay, was amazing to him.
My hubby has his mom Elsa who lives there (his dad passed away about a year ago), his sister Karla and his younger sister Ilana. Both are married, and both have children. Ilana has two boys who are a little younger than ours, and Karla has three children. One that is two years older than my oldest, and the other two are exactly the same age as ours, so imagine the fun they had!
It was incredible to see how much effort they put into making sure that Julian had a great time. He visited everywhere, ate very special meals prepared by them, went to beaches further away from the city, it was unreal! We asked him what would be a moment he would never forget, and he said:
“When we were driving to Punta del Este, all together, with the windows rolled down, and classical music super loud on the car stereo, because Abuela (grandma) and I really like classical music. This I will never forget”. And here I am, melting with love and pride. I feel so grateful to have the sons we have, and also, to have the family I have, both mine and my husband’s. They love us, they love our children, and we adore them.
